Roxanne (Roxy) was born in the floodplain of the Susquehanna River and raised in the oak savanna of the San Francisco Bay Area where she learned to appreciate the outdoors through hiking, horseback riding, and skiing. She received her Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Washington, and is based in Seattle.

As a graduate student of landscape architecture, she has participated in design for public health initiatives in Italy with Dr. Deni Ruggeri, and in Cambodia with Ben Spencer. Her background in ceramic sculpture and environmental science informs her desire to create beautiful and happy places in the face of anthropogenic climate change. She loves travel and writes about her excursions on her blog.
